Day 14 of 75 days in Faith
I’ll Still Bless You in the Middle of My Storm
“The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.” — Job 1:21 (NIV)
On day 14 of 75 days in Faith, we will discuss the moments in life when the storm feels overwhelming; when the waves crash so hard against us that it seems like we might sink. The weight of uncertainty, the burden of hardship, or the pain of personal loss can make it feel impossible to (praise God).
Yet, even in the midst of such storms, there is a powerful truth that we must hold onto: God is good, and His faithfulness never wavers.
Job, in the midst of his suffering having lost everything, made a bold declaration…
“Blessed be the name of the Lord.”
This wasn’t just a positive affirmation, it was an act of worship and trust. Job was acknowledging that, even though he didn’t understand why he was going through so much pain, God was still worthy of his (praise).
He had seen God’s (faithfulness) in the past, and he trusted that God would continue to be faithful, even in the storm.
God’s faithfulness doesn’t depend on our circumstances. When we’re short on money, struggling with mental health battles, or facing challenges we never expected, we can still run to Him for refuge.
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe” (Proverbs 18:10).
So, no matter the situation, God is always our protector, our provider, and our shelter.
There may be days when you don’t feel like praising Him; when the weight of life is heavy, and you feel hopeless.
But even then, like Job, we can choose to bless God. We can thank Him for His presence, for His constant care, and for the truth that He never leaves us.
In fact, sometimes the most powerful act of faith is choosing to bless God in the storm, not after it passes. It’s a declaration that we trust Him even when we don’t have all the answers.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
In the middle of my storm, I choose to bless You. I don’t always understand my circumstances, but I know that You are good, faithful, and trustworthy. In this Faith journey when life is hard, I will run to You, my strong tower.
Thank You for Your constant presence, and for the safety I find in You. Help me to praise You, not only when things are going well, but also when my heart feels heavy. I trust You, Lord, with everything.
