In All Thy Getting, Get an Understanding
“In all thy getting, get understanding.” —Proverbs 4:7 (KJV)
As we continue our 75 day journey in faith, let’s take the time to focus on the importance of (understanding) in our walk with God.
Understanding, when applied to the Word of God, is a (spiritual key) that unlocks the power of God’s Word in our lives. Without it, our faith may become stagnant or shallow, but when we gain understanding, our faith becomes (alive and active.)
The Power of Understanding brings deeper revelations…
A lack of understanding of God’s Word can lead to a lack of faith…. Why?
Because Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” (Romans 10:17).
But if we don’t (understand) what we’re hearing, how can we fully embrace it? A cleaning chemical, for example, can be both powerful and dangerous, depending on whether we understand its properties and how to handle it. Similarly, the Word of God is a mighty weapon, but we need understanding to use it effectively.
The Word of God is Sharp…
In Hebrews 4:12, we are reminded, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword…”
The Word of God is a like a very sharp sword, and it’s not to be taken lightly…
One of the sharpest swords in the world, the Japanese Katana is made through a process called folding the steel. This process layers the blade and helps remove impurities from the metal to make the blade strong and flexible.
On this Faith journey, please remember… The devil knows that the word of God is sharper than the sharpest sword in the world!
And he banks on us not studying to show ourselves approved, and fully understanding the power of it!!! 2 Tim. 2:15
God’s Word is not just another book. It’s living, breathing, and active. But its power is unlocked only when we (understand) how to apply it in our lives. The Holy Spirit plays a key role in this, guiding us into all truth and helping us understand the life changing power of God’s Word.
Understanding is Key to Faith…
When you study the Scriptures, you are not just reading words on a page; you are seeking to understand the heart of God and His will for your life. This understanding empowers your faith, so when opposition comes your way, you won’t be caught off guard.
Instead, you’ll see it as an opportunity to apply the Word of God and watch it work in your situation.
Opposition is an opportunity to utilize the power of Gods word…
When you walk in God’s purpose, opposition will come, but it will not prosper according to Gods Word. Isaiah 54:17
So remember, opposition is not the end; it’s often an opportunity to (apply the Word of God) you’ve studied.
It’s also an opportunity to see His promises come to life in your circumstances. Your understanding of God’s Word transforms opposition into a testimony for God’s glory!!!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your Word, which is living and active. Please help me to gain a deeper understanding of Your truth.
Open my eyes to see the power that lies in the Your Holy Word, and help me to apply it with wisdom, and discernment.
Help me to walk in purpose, knowing that even in opposition, I have the victory through Your Word.
