Day 16 of 75 days in Faith
Defeating strongholds through Dunamis Power!
In 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, Paul tells us that “the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.”
On day 16 of 75 days in Faith, we will discuss strongholds, and how to defeat them through a divine power called Dunamis Power.
First off, if you’ve chosen to make Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life; it’s important that you understand, You are in war…
Not just any war, but a SPIRITUAL WAR!!!
So your choice of weaponry, and full armor has to come from the word of God to fight this war. – Ephesians 6:13
In this day and age, the internet has become the biggest battlefield; and if we’re honest, a lot of our battles are won, and lost on the internet!
One wrong click, and the enemy has access to our hearts, and minds faster than ever before.
And with 5G technology, distractions are spreading at lightning speed; and before we know it, a pleasant stroll aka scroll on the internet can have us at a fork in the road very quickly!!!
Do I click the link, tap on the picture, jump in the comment section, jump in the DM, or keep scrolling?
Through a single moment of weakness, a distraction can be fed to us in a fraction of a second. These distractions create thoughts, and patterns that linger far longer than they should.
And here’s where bondage enters the chat…
Are strongholds, and bondage powerful? Yes!!
Is the power of Jesus Christ, and the word of God stronger than both of them? Yes!!!
(So, How do we fight back?)
Dunamis Power!!!…
If you’re anything like me, the first time I heard the word Dunamis; I had absolutely no clue what this word even meant!!!
(What is Dunamis Power?)
Dunamis is a Greek word that means power, strength, and ability…
This is the same divine, supernatural power that raised Christ from the dead; and according to Gods Word it is available to anytime we need it.
(How do we receive Dunamis power?)
Through the Holy Spirit…
An example is found in Acts 1:8, Jesus promised His disciples this, But you will receive power (dunamis) when the Holy Spirit comes on you.
Dunamis power gives us divine supernatural strength to fight against strongholds, and bondage, and helps us tear down every wall that stands between us, and God.
On this journey in Faith, we are deepening our knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of Gods word.
And in doing so, we are better equipped for Spiritual Warfare.
Stay the course
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a humble heart, thanking You for the many blessings that You have given me.
On day 16 of this 75 day journey, I ask that You would allow the Holy Spirit to fill me with Dunamis power, the divine supernatural strength that raised Christ from the dead; to help me fight these spiritual battles.
Father, I acknowledge that I cannot fight these battles alone. I ask that Your Holy Spirit would lead me, guide me, and strengthen me to use this Dunamis power wisely, and effectively. Help me to rely on Your strength, not my own, and walk in the authority You have given me.
All this I ask In Jesus’ name, Amen.
