Day 2 of 75 days in Faith…
Breaking the Cycle of Isolation…
I decree, and declare that I will break all cycle’s of isolation sent by the devil through the power, and strength of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
… On day 2 of 75 days in Faith, we will discuss the cycles of isolation, and ways to avoid isolation by applying wisdom found in the word of God…
At times, when life starts to become overwhelming, our natural reaction is to become self isolated from others while we deal with the situation.
Certain situations call for isolation, and we do need moments to decompress, relax, and clear our mind.
But to much isolation can cause us to loose focus on the main thing, abandon our daily routine, and entertain distractions that delay our progress.

This 75 day challenge is specifically designed to give us some of the tools we need to combat urges to self isolate when facing challenges.
More people than we know are battling depression, anxiety, and other health issues… and they’re going through it alone.

The Bible clearly says, it’s not good for us to be alone!!! So we must do our best to avoid isolation, and the traps that come with self isolation.
In Mark 6:7-10, we see that Jesus sent the disciples out 2 by 2 to go preach the gospel; knowing that it is not good for us to be alone to accomplish what He has called us to do.
An example of how the devil uses isolation to trap us can be seen through the patterns of predators in the jungle who hunt their prey…
They will focus specifically on animals who have become separated from the pack, and are vulnerable…
The predator thrives on the distractions of the straying animal, watching and waiting patiently as the prey strays further away from the protection of their pack.
And at the right moment, he attacks…

Isolation is one of the easiest ways the for the devil to take us out of alignment of our God given assignment; and attack us when we’re most vulnerable.
So let’s remember to put on the whole armor of God, to fight against the devil and his tactics to keep us in isolation.

3 tips to avoid isolation, or come out of it…
1. Identify the friends, and mentors Gods placed in your life; and be intentional about communicating transparently with them.
2. Ask the Holy Spirit to help guide you to the right friends, or mentor and allow you to be vulnerable and transparent with what you’re going through.
3. Accept the fact that nobody is perfect, and you’re not the only who’s going through something.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for creating us for connection, and community with others.
I pray for those who are like me at times and struggle with loneliness, depression, and isolation…
I ask you Lord God that you would help us to break free from the unhealthy patterns that cause these cycles of self isolation.
Holy Spirit, show us how to build meaningful relationships, come out of our comfort zones, and be a source of encouragement and strength for others.
You said in Your word that a 3 fold cord is not easily broken. So Lord help us to build relationships with the (right people) so that we are not easily broken.
All this we ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.
