Lord, Help Me Hear Your Voice More Clearly

Are you hearing the voice of the Lord (clearly) in this season of your life? Or, have you become less sensitive to the voice of the Lord?
On this 3rd day, of 75 days in Faith we will discuss the importance of avoiding distractions, and being available to (hear the voice of the Lord).
In a world dominated by apps, notifications, and information about everything in the world; we have become less sensitive to hearing the voice of the Lord.
Algorithms have been designed to study our habits by collecting massive amounts of data through the daily use of apps. And unbeknownst to us, our phones literally listen to every conversations without our knowledge or permission…
And when we go to open our apps…
Voila!!!
Marketing adds galore begin invading our social media timeline, not just any adds… Specific adds, that are tied directly to your conversation, and scrolling habits.
Which literally makes the World Wide Web eerily similar to a spiders web…
Picture that, the spiders prey restricted physically, and unable to move, bound by the fabric of the web…
A lot of what’s on the web has the same effect on us!
On this Faith challenge, we’ve chosen to (purposely go against the grain) of our daily norms, and the habits we’ve created on our electronic devices…
Today’s devotion is intentionally aimed at the biggest thief of time on planet earth…

Let’s focus on spending more time away from our devices, and being more attentive to our purpose, and what God is showing us outside of our devices…
It’s a beautiful world with lots of opportunities, but in this day and age most of us miss them because our head is down.
Let’s maximize our gifts, eliminate distractions, and increase our ability to hear the voice of the Lord!
Ways to Eliminate Distractions:
- Set Aside Time for Quiet Reflection: Carve out a daily time to listen to God without interference. Whether through prayer, meditation, or reading Scripture, this time allows you to reconnect with His voice.
- Limit Social Media and Technology: Set boundaries on how much time you spend on devices. Use the time you reclaim for more meaningful, God-centered activities.
- Practice Mindfulness in Everyday Life: Be present in the moment, and tune your heart to God’s leading, whether at work, at home, or with others. Ask Him to make you more aware of His voice throughout the day.

Lord, help me to hear Your voice more clearly today. Holy Spirit I ask that you would quiet the distractions of the world, and allow me to hear Your voice more clearly.
Any app, or device that’s taken my focus off of You please reduce my dependency of it…
Lord I make a commitment to seek You first before I go to any electronic device, and I am committing the first fruits of my morning to You.
Thank You Lord for increasing my ability to hear Your voice more clearly…
