Day 36 of 75 Days in Faith
How to Overcome Fear and Keep Your Faith Intact
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
Fear is a natural response to the unknown, but as believers, we are called to rise above it and stand firm in our faith. How can we overcome fear while keeping our faith intact?
1. Recognize the Source of Fear Fear is not from God. It’s a tool the enemy uses to distract us from God’s purpose. When fear arises, remember it’s a lie meant to weaken your faith (2 Timothy 1:7). Key Takeaway: Understanding that fear is not from God helps us identify it as a tool of the enemy and resist its influence.
2. Replace Fear with Faith Faith and fear cannot coexist. By focusing on God’s promises and bringing our worries to Him in prayer, we allow His peace to guard our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:6-7). Key Takeaway: Choosing faith over fear allows God’s peace to guard us and reminds us of His control over every situation.
3. Embrace God’s Power, Love, and Wisdom In moments of fear, remember you are never alone. God has equipped you with everything you need to face challenges, and His power is greater than any fear you encounter. Key Takeaway: Leaning on God’s power, love, and wisdom enables us to face fear with confidence, knowing we are equipped for every challenge.
4. Stand on God’s Promises God’s promises are a firm foundation. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us that God is with us and will strengthen and uphold us. When you declare His promises, fear loses its power. Key Takeaway: God’s promises provide unshakeable confidence, making fear powerless in the face of His truth.
5. Pray and Trust in God’s Timing Fear often comes from wanting control, but faith calls us to trust God’s timing. Psalm 27:14 encourages us to wait on the Lord with courage and strength. Key Takeaway: Trusting God’s timing means surrendering control, allowing Him to work in His perfect way and time.
6. Take Action in Faith Fear can paralyze, but God calls us to move forward with courage. Joshua 1:9 reminds us to be strong and courageous because God is with us every step of the way. Key Takeaway: Taking action in faith demonstrates trust in God’s promises and breaks the grip of fear, empowering us to move forward.

Lord, fill me with Your peace; the peace that surpasses all understanding. Please quiet my heart, and mind, and help me to rest in Your presence.
I surrender all my fears to You, knowing that You are in control, and that You are greater than any challenge I face. Fill me with the confidence that comes from knowing I am never alone.
