The Armor of God
Ephesians 6:10-18
In Ephesians 6, Paul calls us to “put on the full armor of God” so we can stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. Each piece of this armor is designed to protect us spiritually, and strengthen us to live victorious lives in Christ. Let’s look at how each piece of Gods armor protects us from the lies of the enemy.
1. Belt of Truth (Ephesians 6:14) The first piece is the belt of truth, which guards us from the lies, and deceptions of the enemy. Truth is foundational; it holds everything together, and when we ground ourselves in God’s truth, the truth of His Word—we can recognize the lies of the world, and the enemy. The belt of truth reminds us that God is faithful, and His Word is our guiding light.

2. Breastplate of Righteousness (Ephesians 6:14) The breastplate of righteousness guards our hearts. Our righteousness isn’t based on our perfection, but on (Christ’s finished work) on the cross.
