Trusting God Even When We Are Tired, and Weary
“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9
On day 41 of our 75 Days in Faith challenge, I’m reminded of the blind step of faith we took when we first began this journey.
We didn’t know what we would face along the way, but we knew we wanted to draw closer to God, grow in faith, and allow Him to shape us.
Over these 41 days, some moments have been marked by overwhelming joy, and miracles, but there have also been seasons of struggle, exhaustion, and weariness.
In moments like these it can be very tempting to quit, give up, or even abandon the work we’re doing to grow physically, spiritually, and mentally;
But today, I encourage you to keep pressing forward with the truth of Galatians 6:9:
“Don’t grow weary in doing good.” Because there is a promise that we will reap at the proper time, if we do not give up.

Paul’s words in Galatians 6:9 remind us that God’s timing is always perfect, even when we feel like nothing is happening.
It’s easy to grow discouraged when we don’t see immediate results from our efforts, whether that’s in our personal faith, relationships, work, or our service to others. But God’s promise is clear: If we do not give up, we will see the harvest.
The key here is the word “at the proper time.” God does not operate on our timeline; His timing is always right.
Key Takeaway #2: Faith Holds Us Up in Our Weakness
There are times when we feel like we can’t go on, when we are so weary we can hardly take another step.
In those moments, it’s easy to question whether the effort is worth it or not.
But in 2 Corinthians 12:9, Paul shares something profound: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
When we are weak, God’s grace becomes more than enough to sustain us. His strength is made perfect in our moments of weakness.
This doesn’t mean we won’t experience exhaustion or discouragement, but it means that in those low moments, we can lean into God’s grace and find the strength to press on.
Key Takeaway #3: Hope in the Lord Brings Strength to Persevere
Isaiah 40:31 tells us, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
This is the promise of renewal when we place our hope in God. The act of hoping in God is an active choice—it is a decision to trust in His power and His goodness, even when we are tired.
The imagery here is beautiful: We will soar on wings like eagles, run without growing weary, and walk without fainting.
God renews our strength when we place our hope in Him, and He gives us the stamina to finish the race. Our hope is not in our own abilities, but in God, who sustains us through every season of life.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
In moments when I feel weary, and ready to give up, I thank You for Your promise that I will reap a harvest if I do not grow faint.
When the road ahead is unclear, help me to trust in Your perfect timing, and hold fast to the hope I have in You. Give me the strength to persevere, knowing that Your grace is sufficient for me in every season.
On day 41 of 75 Days in Faith, please give me the courage to keep moving forward, even when I don’t understand the purpose behind my struggles.
I choose to trust that You are working, even when I can’t see it. (Repeat 3 times)
Lord, I pray that I would not grow weary in doing good, and that my faith would continue to get stronger.
Thank You for Your faithfulness, and for the promise that You will never leave me nor forsake me.
