Walking in gratitude
What is Gratitude – the act of extending kindness and grace, or showing appreciation, and returning kindness to others
Consider it pure joy when you go through trials and tribulations, for the trying of your Faith worketh patience; so that you will be perfect and entire wanting nothing.
(James 1:2-4)
Having a heart of (gratitude) is more than saying “thank you” when God blesses us with a new car, job, house, or that spouse we’ve been praying for!
It’s also saying, “God I know this season is hard and unfamiliar for me, but I trust You are working (all things for my good!) I trust you will keep me, and lead me as you have so many other times in the past!
I count it all joy; and no matter my circumstances I will show (gratitude) on a daily basis. God I trust that You will keep me in perfect peace, if my mind is focused on You.
Even though I can’t see the future, I know who holds my future, and for that, I can walk with a posture of (gratitude).
(Gratitude) should be a part of my character as a Christian. It can change my perspective of my surroundings. So during this season, I will be more intentional about starting my day with (gratitude).
Each morning when I wake up, I will (Find 5 things) to be grateful for before checking my text messages, email, social media, etc…
I will write these things down by hand on a sheet of paper, and I will have receipts of things God has done that I should be thankful for each day.
Give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. —Psalm 107:1

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
I come before you today with a humble heart, thanking you for all the blessings you’ve given me.
Thank you for your love, mercy, kindness and forgiveness. Thank you for the gift of life, for my family and friends, and for the opportunities you’ve given me.
Help me to develop a heart of gratitude so that I can see the good in every situation and give thanks in all circumstances. Help me to focus on the things that truly matter. Help me to let go of worries, fears, and doubts; fill my heart with joy, peace, and contentment.
May my gratitude be a witness to others, and may it bring glory to your name. Help me to express my thanks to those around me, and to show appreciation for the blessings in my life.
In Jesus’ name I pray, amen .
