Day 60 of 75 days in Faith
What Is the Holy Spirit? ————————————-
On this journey of 75 days in Faith we have (knowingly and unknowingly) felt the Holy Spirit move.
In daily decisions we’ve made, certain unctions we’ve had to say things during these family phone calls, and even when we sleep the Holy Spirit moves!
Who is He? ——————
The Holy Spirit is the (third part) of the Trinity. God is the Father, Jesus is the Son, and the Holy Spirit is the (Spirit of God)
Our ability to (hear God) is highly connected to us reading His word, and let’s not forget; Faith comes by hearing; and hearing by the word of God.
So we must ask the Holy Spirit to teach us and help us, so that we may have a (better understanding) as we read the word of God.
Reading His word consistently gives us a better understanding for our lives, and the direction that we need to go in.
With that being said let’s come to a better understanding of a few things the Holy Spirit does.
1. The Holy Spirit confirms our relationship with God. The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children, – Romans 8:16
2. The Holy Spirit reveals truth. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come, – John 16:13 3. The Holy Spirit helps us overcome. So, I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature, – Galatians 5:16
4. The Holy Spirit gives us boldness to share the good news of Christ. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth, – Acts 1:8
5. The Holy Spirit teaches and reminds. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you, – John 14:26 6. The Holy Spirit makes us holy. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of God, – 1 Corinthians 6:11
7. The Holy Spirit intercedes for us. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weaknesses. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express, – Romans 8:26
There are (many other things) that the Holy Spirit does, so as we are in our daily reading, and prayer routines; let’s ask the Holy Spirit to guide us in (ALL THINGS) and give us a deeper understanding of His power, and presence!
