Day 65 of 75 days in Faith…
Big doors swing open on small hinges…
Don’t despise the day of small beginnings… (Zechariah 4:10)
On this 65th day of 75 days in Faith we will take a deeper dive into how God uses the smallest of acts of obedience, unselfishness, and moments of faithfulness to open big doors.
The hinges on doors can go (highly unnoticed) unless there is a problem with the door…
The hinges are never thought about as much as the door, but the hinges are what keeps the door on track.
Like the hinges that are small but strong, so are the decisions we make; and because of our ability to make trust God in those moments He is always faithful.
Gods word says ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the (door will be opened)to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the (door will be opened). (Matthew 7:7-8)
On this Faith journey, we’ve seen big doors open on small hinges, and miracles happen right before our eyes!
King David’s path to the throne began in a place that most would see as insignificant. Although he worked the pig pens, he remained faithful, and loyal to his assignment.
That same faithfulness, along with other qualities he possessed, became the (small hinges) that would open bigger doors during his reign as King.
We often overlook the (power of small things) like a brief prayer, or the choice to be obedient in a small matter.
The smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference in someone’s life…
So on this walk of Faith let’s remember that God sees all things, and He delights in our faithful obedience, and kindness towards others.
Prayer
Father,
Help me to be faithful, and obedient in the (small things). As You lead me on this journey in Faith, open my eyes to the small hinges of opportunity that You are placing before me.
Teach me how to trust that even in the (quiet moments), You are working to open doors that lead to Your perfect plans for my life.
You Lord, know the plans that You have for me, plans for me to prosper me, not to harm me, plans to give me hope, and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
I thank you Lord, for the doors that You have opened, and for the doors You’ve closed in my life.
And I pray that You would continue to use me, and help me to teach others how important small steps are in life.
Mold me, shape me, and create in me a clean heart, and a mind that strives to be obedient in the smallest decisions of my life.
All this I ask in Jesus name,
