Trusting God even when we are tired, and weary…
Don’t grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up. (Galatians 6:9)
Beginning this 75 days in Faith challenge 69 days ago was a blind act of Faith. We had no clue what these days would hold but we knew that we would get closer to God, and deepen our Faith in Him.
There have been moments during this challenge where life was amazing and we saw miracles happen. But there’s also been moments when the weight of life’s struggles felt unbearable.
What’s impressive is that no matter the circumstances, we pressed through and focused on being consistent with the daily guidelines of this challenge.
It’s easy to feel frustrated, or even tempted to give up when things don’t go the way we expect them to go.
The apostle Paul encourages us in Galatians 6:9 to (not grow weary) in doing good, because there is a (promise attached) which says at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
In this verse, God is reminding us that even when we don’t see immediate results, our efforts are not in vain. His timing is perfect, and in due season, the harvest will come.
This can be a difficult truth to hold onto, especially when circumstances don’t seem to align with what we hope for, and that’s where our Faith plays a MAJOR ROLE!!!
Jobs Faith was tested after suffering losses in his family, finances, and health. He had to fight to hold on to his Faith and even when he didn’t understand why things were happening the way they were.
Have you ever found yourself in this situation, what was your reaction?
This Faith challenge is designed to draw us closer to God so that in moments we are tested we can draw from our deep well of Faith in God; and be reminded that if He did it before He can do it again!
Scriptures that will help us to not give up when life gets hard…
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:31)
When we feel exhausted, God promises to renew our strength, enabling us to keep moving forward.
But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.(2 Corinthians 12:9)
In our moments of weakness, God’s grace is more than enough. His power works most effectively in the areas where we feel vulnerable.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
In moments when I feel weary, and ready to give up, I thank You for Your promise that I will reap a harvest if I do not grow faint.
When the road ahead is unclear, help me to trust in Your perfect timing and to hold fast to the hope I have in You. Give me the strength to persevere, knowing that Your grace is sufficient for me in every season.
On this 69th day of 75 days in Faith please give me the courage to keep moving forward, even when I don’t understand the purpose behind my struggles.
I choose to trust that You are working, even when I can’t see it. – (Repeat 3 times)
Lord, I pray that I would not grow weary in doing good, and that my faith would continue to get stronger.
I thank You for Your faithfulness, and the promise that You will never leave me, nor forsake me.
